Since 18 October 2026 the station has run its two receivers at the same time: the SDRplay RSP1 (better for weak narrowband signals, 24 MHz to 1.7 GHz here) and the HackRF One (20 MHz at a glance, up to 6 GHz). Each has its own lock, so one keeps the live stream or the P25 control channel while the other surveys or hunts, instead of taking turns. This page is what that has added. Receive only.
Channels each survey has seen in at least three passes. Side by side, band by band: RSP1 vs HackRF.
| WHAT | CHANNELS |
|---|
While the RSP1 read the P25 control channel, the HackRF listened to every land-mobile signal the surveys keep seeing, up to 16 at a time, and named what each one is: P25, DMR, NXDN, or analog, and which are trunked control channels. Public safety and business radio metadata isn't ours to publish (47 U.S.C. 605), so this part is for the station owner only.
